Hmm, can you leapfrog an OS that is 1.5 years old? Vista may not be winning hearts, but it’s here. Windows 7 will simply be the next version in line, created with Vista’s short-comings in mind.
Pillar five refers to ?Engineered for Ease of Ownership? and covers Data Recovery, Diagnostics and Health, Less Fear of New Applications, Migration, Business Productivity and Security, Devices will ‘just work!’, and A Quick and Clean OOBE.
Pillar three deals with ‘Personalized Computing for Everyone’, and includes ‘this desktop is made for me!’, culturalization improvements, access, secure roaming, and home network management.
Two hints suggest Windows 7 may be out earlier than was previously suggested. I can’t see how that could be possible without seeing a beta release very soon.
